Albatros D.V by Rajaahsani Albatros D.V by Rajaahsani
Zio prudenziati's Albatros D.V in 1/148 (British N-scale) [link]

The model is supposed to be just a simple wargaming stuff, but i got a lil' bit carried away with this :p the fuel line and exhaust were made from 0,5 mm wire and the rigging, which took ages to build, made from even thinner wire

Just additional info, this D.V was flown by Lt. Hans-joachim von hippel, commanding officer of jagdstaffel (jasta) 5. Von Hippel survived both great war, and was still giving interviews in the 1970s. He is at least as famous for flying the DV marked with the fire breathing dragon (this model) as he is for flying his pair of Blitz marked D.Va machines, one with lozenge camo wings and the other with green/mauve. His hair raising combat of February 18, 1918, in which the dragon lost a lower wing, is widely known and resulted in a unique photo of the crashed DV, upside down but apparently otherwise intact.

how can we even compare such things? :)
but well, ok, true there are great crafters out there, but that doesn't make your skills any less than they are! and you are skilled, wether you can see and accept that you are or not. I'm sorry to contradict you but you really are great at what you do! there will always be someone who is "better" (how can we even compare these skills? crafting is crafting, not everyone is good at it, but you are) out there but that doesn't mean you can't take credit for your highly detailed and obviously skilled builds! I'm a great papercrafter but I'd go nuts if I had to make the tiny  things you make! Nuu
you are very skilled and I hope you can see that, pat yourself on the back and accept that what you make is great crafting! I mean, ok, it doesn't feel right to 'toot your own horn' so to speak, but I feel troubled when great crafters won't see how awesome they are. it's a great feeling to be confident in how great one really is at what one likes to build/make/craft and you really should be confident! you make such awesome stuff!! :happybounce:

That's very true, paper modelling is highly addictive, once you make a good base model, you couldn't resist to add more and more details up to the point that it destroys everything
Thanks very much anyway!
